Quotas

Bullshit. Salesmen have them. A good friend told her boss to fuck off because of a ridiculous quota. (He succeeded in his plan to rid the people not like him) Thats alright, she'll land on her feet.
The worst-COPS. Those flattop, mustache, to stupid to get in the army mother-fuckers. Drive through Carmel the last few days of any month and you cant drive 600 yards without seeing a Carmel cop pulling over a carload of mexicans, Black guys or people with inexpensive, american made cars. Profiling? Whatever fuckface.

The Evil Dog.

Saturday In Indiana

Alright so I forgot to take pictures. After arriving at the White Trash Expo,I was in no mood to lug camera around. I should have-there were plenty of mullets and girls with dirty, nasty, hair claws. Do these people only shower once a month?
Anyhoo, the first gig had a PA that resembled something from high school when you would piece together all the gear you and your friends own. I think there was an entire roll of duct tape on the drum heads. It was the most embarrassing gig I have ever worked.
Part II of the night was fun. EAW 750 tops with matching subs. All crest power, nice Allen & Heath console. Toys for everything.
Great set of Mic's, nice people, big crowd. The boys and I had it thumping from the first note. They got the majority of the crowd dancing and having fun. A fun city-run festival with low beer prices. Me and Steve the keyboard player were able to buy 4 Bass Ale's and still had change from a $20 bill.

Saturday Pre-show

Tomorrow is gonna be interesting. Early evening show, then drive, to another festival show. 2 very different PA systems. New camera is having a glitch. No matter how hard I try to " Fix The Glitch"-still not happening. I'll take crappy camera just in case. I hope to show the drastic differences in PA system budget. Now to start the entire Band of Brothers and see if I can finish it before 3pm Saturday. Its 11:30pm Friday

Drink with all of my friiiiiiiieeeennndddsss.

If you didnt "get" the headline- See Barfly with Mickey Roarke

I spent Saturday evening downtown with one of my nearest and dearest. She needed to get out of her own head for a while so we went to the Rathskellar to see a friends band play. The Rathskellar is alot of fun. Outdoor biergarten with stage and fun music all around. Due to the fascist Doctors and Lawyers who inhabit the million dollar condos 2 blocks from the 100+ year old Rathskellar, you have to quit at 11.
So we head back to the northside to meet Sparky (GTR player in the band) and drink some more. Big surprise when i get there and Tobias is playing with his band and having fun. Tim B., my current drummer in working band, arrives and its ON! we had a blast. Miss A was unofficially celebrating her birthday and we were doing what we could to help. I have no Idea what my hands are doing in the picture.....

Lonely Again

Well half of my family left Sunday. It's just me and my overwieght min-pin.I kept myself busy by cleaning my gutters.if you haven't seen my house, but you know the address, google sat. my address and see the 5-6 trees that engulf my little ranch.my gutters should be cleaned 3-4 times a year but I stand firm and do it once a year. It was an interesting science experiment and i was a little unnerved(SP?)knowing those critters livED in my gutters. All gone now.
The band only had to work one of the nights last week.I bailed on Saturdays gig to attend the wedding of a good friend. Two words- open Bar! Thankfully I had my better half to drive home from DT indy.
Back to the grind on Wednesday. The boys are promising to have at least 5 new songs in the works for the people. I hope so. ever had that friend that always had the same CD in their car everytime you hitched a ride? Thats what it's like mixing the same band 3-4 nights a week.God if I hear Brass In Pocket one more time.....

I Think Matt Stone is Kick Ass

John Mayer

I saw John on Saturday at soon to be demolished outdoor pavilion named after one of the phone providers. Some real estate guy bought it and the surrounding property to build an industrial park. GREAT. Now we can count on driving to Tinley Park in Chicago or shithole Riverbend in Cinci.
I will let that go for now. John was great with a somewhat short set but tight, solid and a great backing band. PA looked like an old ShowCo Prism, thought I'd see a line array?
The other great thing was the army of girls there, lots of make-up and very little clothing.I wondered if any of them were checking out his cool class A, handbuilt line of amplifiers? I wondered if they noticed the strat he was playing that was older than their parents? Do they get excited when John throws a little voodoo chile into a song? Pulls out a great Albert King riff? You know what?-I am getting old. I can't even go see Dave Mathews Band anymore. I am just not hip enough.
